Description:  This course focuses on introductory public speaking concepts and skills. You will study the process of formal speaking, with an emphasis on comfortable and competent delivery of speeches. You will learn how to reduce speaking anxiety, choose a topic, organize and outline your speeches, and critically analyze speech-making choices. You will demonstrate effective presentation techniques by delivering informative, persuasive and impromptu speeches.

Description:  This course focuses on the examination and acquisition of positive and effective interpersonal and intrapersonal communication skills. You will study interpersonal communication theories and learn how applying these theories can enhance your ability to effectively communicate with others. You will examine your self-concept, relationships with others, perceptions, emotions, nonverbal communication, listening ability, conflict-management skills, and other aspects of interpersonal communication.
